Bronz-Glow® F-915 Acrylic Primer
Superior Adhesion for Metal Surfaces
SURFACE PREPARATION:
· Remove all traces of oils, grease, rust, dirt, and dust
· A sandblasted or rough surface improves adhesion
· Use Husky 15 or 25 Reducer for clean up or thinning
Preparing surfaces exposed to high salt conditions
· Sandblast or wire brush metal surfaces to remove all
rust and oxides
· Pressure wash with a free-rinsing, high pH cleaner - Bronz-glow
Heavy-Duty Alkaline Cleaner is recommended
- Bronz-Glow Heavy-Duty Alkaline Cleaner is recommended · Pressure rinse with clean
water
· Pressure wash to reduce surface pH to 5.0-7.0 - Bronz-Glow
Heavy-Duty Acidic Cleaner is recommended
· Allow to dry thoroughly before applying F-915 Primer
Additional surface preparation
· Abrasive blast steel to SSPC SP-5/NACE No. 1 or Swedish
Standard Sa 3.
· Clean concrete with abrasive blast, or etch with 10 per
cent muriatic acid
Previously finished surfaces
· Repair all damaged areas
· Remove gloss from previous coating by sandblasting or "brush
blasting"
· Remove rust, corrosion products, heavy chalk, and peeling
· Spot prime bare areas
