CORROSION PROTECTION FROM: Environments containing heavy moisture concentrations, salt air/spray, acid rain, chlorine, muriatic acid fumes, ammonia, H2S fumes, sulfuric acid fumes, methane fumes, most other aggressive acids and alkali.

COATING RECOMMENDATIONS: Corrosion protection for virtually any type of substrate material exposed to extreme corrosive environments such as those found in waste- water treatment plants, paper mills, any type of coastal installation, food processing facilities, refineries, off shore facilities, chemical plants, medical facilities, pharmaceutical plants, steel mills, mining facilities etc.

DESCRIPTION:  This unique air-dry coating provides durable surface protection in harsh environments where other coatings and paints fail.  Dries to touch in minutes and fully cures in 24 hours.  Formulated with a synthetic resin base, at 12-15 mils dry thickness SPC provides virtually total moisture resistance even from harsh alkaline and acidic solutions.

Bronz-Glow’s  SPC-Tinted Technical Data

Surface Preparation:

  • Remove all traces of oil, grease, rust, dirt and dust
  • Sandblast or roughen surfaces to improve adhesion
  • Remove all loosened residue, wipe or rinse clean
  • Prime with Bronz-Glow’s Husky 150 Primer
  • Rust-Oleum brand primers are not compatible.

Preparing Surfaces Exposed to High Salt Conditions

  • Sandblast or wire brush metal surfaces to remove all rust and oxides
  • Pressure wash with a free-rinsing, high pH cleaner
  • Pressure rinse with clean water
  • Pressure wash with a low pH cleaner to reduce pH to 5.0-7.0
  • Allow to dry thoroughly
  • Prime with Bronz-Glow’s Husky 150 Primer

Preparing Steel Surfaces

  • Abrasive blast to SSPC SP-5/NACE No. 1 or Swedish Standard 3.
  • Remove loosened residue
  • Prime with Bronz-Glow’s Husky 150 Primer

Preparing Concrete Surfaces

  • Clean, abrasive blast, or etch with 10 per cent muriatic acid
  • Prime with Bronz-Glow’s Husky 150 Primer
