DESCRIPTION: Increases coating adhesion on metals by up to 400 percent with this solvent base air-dry acrylic primer. It was specifically designed for use with any Bronz-Glow coating when priming is recommended. 150 Primer aids in preventing peeling on metal surfaces, including galvanized. Only extreme abrasion or corrosion requires an additional coat. Best results are achieved by applying the coating as soon as the 150 Primer is dry to touch.

Bronz-Glow’s Husky 150 Primer Technical Data
Surface Preparation:
- Remove all traces of oils, grease, rust, dirt, and dust
- Sandblast or roughen surfaces to improve adhesion
- Remove all loosened residue, wipe or rinse clean
Preparing Surfaces Exposed to High Salt Conditions
- Sandblast or wire brush metal surfaces to remove all rust and oxides
- Pressure wash with a free-rinsing, high pH cleaner
- Pressure rinse with clean water
- Pressure wash with a low pH cleaner to reduce surface pH to 5.0-7.0
- Allow to dry thoroughly before applying 150 Primer
Additional Surface Preparation
- Abrasive blast steel to SSPC SP-5/NACE No. 1 or Swedish standard Sa 3.
- Clean concrete with abrasive blast, or etch with 10 per cent muriatic acid
- Remove loosened residue
Previously Finished Surfaces
- Repair all damaged areas
- Remove gloss from previous coating
- Remove dust, corrosion products, heavy chalk, and peeling
- Spot prime bare areas
